Signs coaching will pay back
- ·You send a lot of applications and hear almost nothing back.
- ·You reach interviews but rarely convert them into offers.
- ·You are relocating and do not know how your profile reads in the new market.
- ·You are changing sector or level and cannot explain the move convincingly.
- ·You have an offer on the table and no idea what the market rate really is.
Signs it is not the right spend
- ·You already have several live processes and a healthy response rate.
- ·You only want a document rewritten, in which case a CV service is cheaper.
- ·You are not willing to change target, materials or approach.
- ·Your constraint is purely legal, such as no eligible permit route at all.
What actually changes
The uncomfortable truth of most stalled searches is that the effort is fine and the direction is wrong. People apply to roles slightly above or below their real level, in a market that does not value their background, with a CV written for a different country's conventions.
Coaching fixes the direction first, then the materials, then the outreach, then the interview. Doing it in that order is why response rates move within weeks rather than months.
The other half is human. Job searching while relocating is isolating, and having someone who has seen hundreds of these searches tell you what is normal and what is not is worth more than most people expect.

Frequently asked questions
Is a career coach worth the money?+
It is worth it when the blocker is strategy, positioning or interviews rather than volume of applications. If you are getting interviews and offers already, coaching adds less. If you are sending applications and hearing nothing, the problem is usually fixable and coaching pays back quickly.
What does a career coach actually do?+
A good coach decides with you which roles and market you should target, rewrites how you present yourself for that target, builds a company approach instead of blind applications, prepares you for interviews with real practice, and helps you negotiate the offer.
Can a career coach guarantee a job?+
No, and anyone who guarantees one is selling something else. What coaching changes is the quality of your targeting, your materials and your interview performance, which is what moves response rates.
Is career coaching worth it for people relocating to Europe?+
This is where it helps most. A CV in the wrong format, an occupation that does not match a permit route, or a market you cannot realistically win in will each cost you months, and none of them are obvious from outside the country.
When is a career coach not worth it?+
If you already have a strong pipeline and just need a CV tidy, buy a CV service instead. If you are unwilling to change your target or your approach, coaching will not overcome that either.
How quickly do people see results?+
Most of our clients see a change in response rate within a few weeks of the positioning and CV work, and land roles within two to four months. The interview stage moves faster than the application stage because it is the most trainable part.
